When is Union Station open?

We're open 4:00am to 12:30 am, daily.

Is there somewhere I can store my luggage at Union Station?

Neither Union Station nor its transportation carriers offer baggage storage. If you are arriving with luggage, please plan accordingly.

Is there parking available?

YES! Click here for directions to the Union Station parking garage.

Where can I park if I am only dropping off or picking up a traveler?

Metered parking is available on Lyman Street, near the closest entrance to the rail platforms. Passengers can also be discharged and received at the main entrance, located at 55 Frank B. Murray Street, however parking is prohibited on this city street and vehicles without a driver behind the wheel may be subject to ticketing by the Springfield Parking Authority.

I lost an item – how do I contact Lost & Found?

Neither Union Station nor the carriers operating out of Union Station are responsible for items left behind on their transport, on benches or charging stations, but will do their best to help locate them.

Are bicycles allowed in the building?

Only ticketed rail passengers may bring bicycles into the terminal, in order to access the train platforms. For all other passengers and patrons, bike racks are located near the main entrance on Frank B. Murray Street and a Sheltered Bike Rack is located on the busway, near Liberty Street. Please utilize the outdoor bike racks prior to entering the building.

Are animals allowed inside Union Station?

Animals are prohibited from inside Union Station, except under the following conditions:

  1. The animal is under 20 pounds AND is in a fully enclosed and secure carrier specifically designed for animal transport. Purses, backpacks and other similar items are not considered suitable animal carriers.
  2. The animal is a certified Police or Security animal and is accompanied by a Police or Security officer.
  3. The animal is a service animal, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act, and is accompanied by a patron of the Station.

How do I find out about travel changes or issues?

Contact your transportation carrier directly for the most up-to-date information and assistance. Station Management is not affiliated with any of the travel providers at Union Station and therefore not responsible for ticketing, availability, scheduling or disruption of service.

Can I have my wedding or senior class photos taken at Union Station?

Union Station provides a unique backdrop for a memorable photoshoot. Please contact the Management Office at (413) 766-1607 or contact us here for rules and important details.
